Associations
Does the model know your brand at all in this category? Asked "top tools for X", does it list you? The most permissive layer, and the place most brands quietly lose without knowing.
Relevance
Given a specific query, does the model rate your content as genuinely relevant, not just topically adjacent? Harder won than association.
Citations
When the model gives a grounded answer (one with web search, RAG, or tool calls), does it cite your URL? Bottom of the funnel and the most defensible position to occupy.
The centerpiece: Content Optimization
